Should have experience in purchasing for Pellet/ Beneficiation Steel Plant. |
| Must have indepth knowledge of Purchase of Imported Spares & Consumable Items. |
| Responsible for the estimation & costing, price negotiation and finalization within the estimated and provided target prices for various components. Release of purchase orders after price approval. |
| Making assessment reports of availability, price, market survey and supply of material. |
| To do periodic vendor audits, preferably with a cross functional team. |
| To understand the market conditions that impact price and availability and use this to advantage. |
| Should have knowledge of tendering & Reverse auction. |
| Commercial Function : |
Managing commercial and contractual communication with vendors related to logistics. |
| Work closely with Plant and accounts department on all relevant issues such as quality, cost reduction etc. |
| Develop & install related commercial function - buying / contracting / costing etc. to bring consistency & discipline |
| Preparing & follow up of bills receivables after invoicing to debtors (sales), conducting ageing analysis with an aim to keep receivables under control and collections of payments etc. |
| Indepth knowledge of Dispatch, customs & excise process & DGFT licenses like EPCG etc. |
| Coordination with Railway & Transporters for incoming material and Planning |
| Liasoning with Central Excise, Railways, Government agencies and business associates. |
| Transportation contracts, freight negotiations, working out multi-model transportation and cost analysis. |
| Establish policies, procedures, and methods to maintain and improve standards of operations in the materials-acquisition and purchasing and related support functions of the facility integrating multi functional plants materials requirement. |
| Heading Inward logistics, Bulk raw material handling (Like Iron ore) by rail and road. |
| Responsible for all statutory compliance and ensure that all commercial and legal issues are attended. |
| Establish internal system and procedures with proper checks balances. |

| Identification of the source of Raw – Materials i.e. Iron Ore, Dolomite, Bentonite, Steam Coal/ Pet Coke (ROM - F & B Grade) through NMDC, OMC, OMDC, MOIL, MCL, SECL & other Traders under strict quality analysis by in house / third party inspection. |
| Releasing Purchase order and monitor supply as per requirement. |

| Handling documental work for indent, placing and rack movement of iron ores from mines siding areas to manufacturing plant. |
